La Casa Embrujada
La exposición LA CASA EMBRUJADA en Balmaceda Arte Joven Bío-Bío nace de nuestro interés por el nepotismo en las instituciones de arte y también de un interés genuino por la herencia cultural personal. La muestra reúne una serie de obras y objetos hechos por familiares de los participantes del taller “Curatoría Familiar” y por familiares nuestros. Los participantes y nosotros hemos actuado como curadores con un ego desbocado, transfigurando las obras y torciendo sus significados. Incluimos además el video “La Madrastra”, inspirado en la figura de María Bordeu, un familiar común que descubrimos al poco tiempo de comenzar a realizar nuestras curatorías familiares.
The exhibition LA CASA EMBRUJADA at Balmaceda Arte Joven Bío-Bío (The Haunted House) was born out of our interest in nepotism in art institutions and also out of our genuine interest in personal cultural heritage. The exhibition brings together a series of works and objects made by relatives of the participants in the workshop “Curatoría Familiar” and by our own relatives. The participants and we have acted as curators with a big ego, transfiguring the works and distorting their meanings. We also included the video “La Madrastra”, inspired by the figure of Maria Bordeu, a common relative that we discovered.
